| Each year, EdFed awards more than $250,000 in scholarships, helping students at every stage of their college journey. Applications are now open for four scholarship opportunities, covering high school, undergraduate, and technical schools. The application process is quick, simple, and applicants may be eligible for more than one scholarship. The available scholarships are as follows: Hubert O. Sibley (HOS) 2 + 2 Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarship Plan This scholarship serves high school seniors preparing for college. EdFed awards 15 Florida Prepaid 2+2 Plan scholarships to graduating seniors annually, affording them the opportunity to embark on their college dreams. The application deadline is February 27, 2026. College Dreams Scholarship This scholarship is designed for Miami Dade College (MDC) students. MDC students only need to apply once during the calendar year for a chance to be selected in a monthly random drawing to be awarded $1,500. Career in a Year Scholarship This scholarship serves students enrolled in Adult Education, Technical, and Vocational programs in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Students can enter to be randomly selected in a quarterly $2,500 scholarship drawing, with four scholarships awarded for a total of $10,000. High School Hero Scholarship This scholarship recognizes high school students who positively impact the community through their volunteer efforts. Nine $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with at least 25 community service hours in the preceding 12 months. Winners are presented with a $1,500 check during a special celebration at their school hosted by HITS 97.3 radio personality Jade Alexander.
