Twelve $1,500 College Dreams Scholarships will be awarded during each 12-month period of the Program. Recipients will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants. The Program begins on January 1 and ends on December 31st of each calendar year of the Program.

Administrator: This Program is administered and funded by Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed), located at 7800 SW 117 Ave., Miami, FL 33183.

Eligibility: Applicants must be members in good standing for the 6-month period preceding the application date, be enrolled in a minimum of one (1) three-credit hour course at Miami Dade College. "Good standing" means applicant has not been delinquent on a loan or overdrawn on a share account for the 6-month period preceding the application date or at the time of the selection and has not previously caused EdFed a loss. Proof of qualifications must be provided within 30 days following notice of applicant's selection. The recipient must successfully complete at least one three-hour credit course towards the completion of an MDC degree.

Applying: Applicants must apply on the online application provided on the dedicated landing page on EdFed's website. Applications must be complete and accurate to be considered.

Random Drawing: The scholarship is awarded 12 times a calendar year and will be drawn on the last business day of the month then ending (Monday–Friday). The recipients will be selected from among all eligible applications via a random drawing.
